The DS830 is a standalone actuator position controller, designed to control the position of any Dyne Systems actuator. It is designed for standalone operation, but offers advanced “intelligent” features.

The DS830 is a low-cost alternative to the DTC-1 Throttle Controller, but still offers advanced "intelligent" features.

    • Commanded position
    • Actual actuator position
    • Possible fault information
  • Complete standalone operation or simple integration into customer control system
  • Convenient connection to external controller via Sub-D connectors
  • 0 to +10 VDC and 0 to +20 mA input command accepted
  • 0 to +10 VDC position command output
  • PLC-level (+24 VDC) digital control inputs and status outputs
  • Fault detection (actuator stall, power fail, etc.)

DS830 As a Stand-Alone Position Controller

In the pure standalone configuration, front panel buttons for On/Off and Reset are provided. An analog potentiometer is provided to easily set the actuator position setpoint. The actual position of the actuator is shown on the LCD display.

Remote control

DS830 - With External Control

When connected to an external control system, the On/Off and Reset control commands are performed via a remote control system. The analog position control set point is provided from an external, 0 to +10 VDC input command voltage. The status and position information is shown on the LCD, but it is also provided to the external control system for display elsewhere. Note: Detailed fault information is only available on the LCD display, fault information is not sent to be displayed on an external display.
