The DS830 is a stand-alone actuator position controller, designed to control the position of any Dyne Systems actuator. It is designed for stand-alone operation, but offers advanced “intelligent” features.

Stand-alone open loop electronic throttle control
The DS830 is a low-cost alternative to the DTC-1 Throttle Controller, but still offers advanced "intelligent" features.
  • LCD display shows:
    • Controller status
    • State
    • Commanded position
    • Actual actuator position
    • Possible fault information
  • Complete stand-alone operation or simple integration into customer control system
  • Convenient connection to external controller via Sub-D connectors
  • 0 to +10 VDC and 0 to +20 mA input command accepted
  • 0 to +10 VDC position command output
  • PLC-level (+24 VDC) digital control inputs and status outputs
  • Fault detection (actuator stall, power fail, etc.)

DS830 As a Stand-Alone Position Controller

In the pure stand-alone configuration, front panel buttons for On/Off and Reset are provided. An analog potentiometer is provided to easily set the actuator position setpoint. The actual position of the actuator is shown on the LCD display.

DS830 - With External Control

When connected to an external control system, the On/Off and Reset control commands are performed via a remote control system. The analog position control set point is provided from an external, 0 to +10 VDC input command voltage. The status and position information is shown on the LCD, but it is also provided to the external control system for display elsewhere. Note: Detailed fault information is only available on the LCD display, fault information is not sent to be displayed on an external display.
