Dynamometer and Throttle Test Controls

Shown are the 4th generation Dyn-Loc IV digital dynamometer controller and the DTC-1 digital throttle controller. Both are still among the most popular controls in the industry.

For single device testing at a lower cost, Dyn-Loc IV has what it takes for precise, repeatable and stable Eddy Current and DC dyno test control.

Portable cart with multi-loop Inter-Loc V, which tests up to three devices simultaneously, CIA-II cell interface system and Cell Assistant for Windows automation software.

All CIA models monitor I/O and turns on/off relays for limits, safeties and dynamometer test cell operation hardware. CIA-II utilizes Horner PLC Process Control (PID) for use as a process controller with PID functionality for engine cooling and other ancillary function control. All channels come with the ability to set limits, alarms, etc to accommodate your specific application requirements.

The Cell Interface Assistant III (CIA-III, upper unit in console) is a PLC based monitoring system (24VDC) used to control/monitor temps, fluid levels, pressures, flow rates, etc. CIA-III utilizes ABB PLC Process Control (PID) for true closed loop process (e.g. engine cooling control, flow control, level control, and other ancillary functions). All channels come with the ability to set limits, alarms, etc. to accommodate your specific application requirements. Mounted in the same console is the Inter-Loc V, for digital control of up to three dynamometers or throttles simultaneously.

Test up to three devices simultaneously with the Inter-Loc V dynamometer and throttle controller, combined with the CIA-II cell interface and saftey monitoring system, in a space-saving slimline console. Extend the height of the console with additional units.

DS820 PAU is LabVIEW™ compatible and gives LCD readout of diagnostics, faults and other information; 30Amp capability in the rack-mounted model; and interfaces with all existing Dyne Systems dynamometer controllers as well as most other controllers.

DS830 Universal Throttle PAU is a stand-alone actuator position controller, designed to control the position of any Dyne Systems actuator that offers advanced “intelligent” features.

The combination DS820-DS830 Dynamometer & Throttle PAU combines the DS820 Dynamometer PAU and the DS830 Throttle PAU into one box to simplify your operation and save space.

DS820 PAU gives LCD readout of diagnostics, faults and other information:

• 30Amp capability in the rack-mounted model
• Interfaces with all existing Dyne Systems dynamometer controllers, and most others
• LabVIEW™ compatible!

Remote box and connector for the DS820 Stand-Alone eddy current dynamometer controller and the DS830 Stand-Alone throttle controller.
