InterLoc V Multi-Loop Dynamometer & Throttle Controller

Modular Design: Flexible and Expandable
The Inter-Loc V closed-loop dynamometer and throttle controller is completely modular, allowing customization for each specific application.
The Inter-Loc V master unit contains a main control computer, general purpose I/O interfaces, power supplies, and slots for up to three controller modules (Dyno or Throttle). These modules are installed as required by each specific application. Power Amplifier Units (PAUs) for eddy current dynamometers or engine throttle actuators are separate from the master unit and are integrated as required. You purchase only the required Inter-Loc V components for your test system.
Interface Options: Cell Assistant or LabVIEW
In addition to the manual control provided by the Operator Control Station, automated control of the Inter-Loc V is available using DyneSystems' powerful data acquisition and control software, Cell Assistant for Windows.
Or, develop your own control software using popular software packages such as LabVIEW® or DyneSystems' Inter-Loc V SDK (Software Developers Kit).
Dynamometer Control Features

- Accepts most types of speed transducers, including magnetic pickups, optical encoders, or any TTL level clock signal.
- External or internal shunt calibration of torque transducers

- Optional Road Load calculations for chassis dynamometer applications
Software-Based Design
The Inter-Loc V is entirely software based, providing many benefits and flexibility, including:
- Transient Control: The master control computer performs closed-loop control at up to 1000Hz.
- Object-oriented configuration: Control parameters, hardware interface devices, fault settings, display untis and other settings are easily customized by the user.
- Modular software design allows use of various closed-loop control methods: PID control, classic linear or non-linear control, fuzzy logic, and more.
- Software upgrades: All future enhancements to features and all control algorithm developments are available via software updates, making "tomorrow's controller available today".
- Software programmable digital and analog outputs: The Inter-Loc V box has 15 general-purpose digital outputs and each installed controller provides three programmable analog outputs. The function of each is entirely configurable for easy integration into a custom test system.
- True hardware emergency stop: Even though the Inter-Loc V is entirely software-based, all Emergency Stop (ESTOP) inputs are still implemented entirely in hardware. When any ESTOP button is pressed, the ESTOP signal is hardwired directly to all ESTOP outputs and all external Power Amplifier Units. No CPU intervention is required to shut down the test system.
Engine Throttle Control Features

- Closed-loop control of throttle position, engine speed, engine torque, manifold absolute pressure (MAP), manifold vacuum, or engine throttle position (feedback from engine throttle position sensor [TPS])
- Optional remote Operator Control Station lets you set throttle actuator travel points from a convenient location near the engine, not from the control room.
- DyneSystems' servo-motor based high-resolution digital actuator provides high-torque, high-speed throttle control of engines with mechanical throttles.
- Direct engine control module ("By Wire") control is available with each throttle module.
Simple, Reliable Hardware Interfaces
- All connector pinouts have been optimized to simplify wiring.
- All analog and digital inputs and outputs are optically isolated to reduce electrical noise from high power controls or ignition systems and to eliminate ground loops.
- PLC-style digital inputs and outputs. Drive relays directly. Interface directly to your PLCs.
- Fifteen software programmable digital outputs. Three software programmable analog outputs per installed controller.
